Partnership between WUSTL, school district results in improved science scores (video)

A unique, long-term partnership between WUSTL and the Hazelwood School District is showing unprecedented success in elementary and middle school science test scores. And in the process, the district’s work with the Institute for School Partnership is providing a roadmap for other schools to follow.

WUSTL recognized for its leadership in the Sustainable Land Lab

WUSTL received a sustainability award from St. Louis city last week during the Mayor’s Sustainability Summit. WUSTL was recognized for its leadership in the Sustainable Land Lab, a partnership with the city, as well as for furthering sustainability efforts on campus.

University funds three Scholars in Pediatrics

The School of Medicine and its Department of Pediatrics have established funding for three pediatric scholars named in honor of a trio of highly regarded former pediatricians at the university. The new Scholars in Pediatrics are Paul Hruz, MD, PhD, Shalini Shenoy, MD, and Andrew White, MD.

Nominations open for Gephardt Institute’s Civic Scholars Program

Nominations are now open for the Gephardt Institute for Public Service’s Civic Scholars Program. The program now consists of both a classic and a study-abroad cohort. Faculty, staff and administrators can nominate sophomores for either group here. The nomination deadline is Dec. 2.
